Dynamic Tape is the biomechanical tape being used worldwide by rugby players, volleyball players, surfers, tennis players, tri-athletes, soccer players and many other sporting professions to assist these athletes to move through full range of motion without limitation. It is also used in the treatment of sporting, musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
Dynamic Tape is extremely soft, highly conformable, breathable and water resistant which makes it possibly the most comfortable athletic tape on the market.
What are the advantages of Dynamic Tape?
Dynamic Tape allows the wearer to move through full range of motion without limitation. Dynamic Tape can strongly assist or resist movement, facilitate or inhibit and offload tissue through full range of motion. This is only possible due to the highly elastic nature and four way stretch necessary when taping multi joint muscles and performing complex, three-dimensional skills.
DYNAMIC TAPE IS NOT KINESIOLOGY TAPE
The differences between Kinesiology tape and Dynamic Tape:
It's primary aim is not to lift the skin like kinesio. It is applied with the body part in a short position and the tape on stretch (the opposite to traditional kinesio taping) so that as movement occurs, the tape resists and absorbs load, decelerating movement in much the same way as a bungee cord.
Once deceleration is complete, the energy is stored as elastic potential energy although may still be imparting a corrective force if trying to modify technique or movement patterns. As shortening occurs the tape can assist initiation in fast movements or through range in slower movements (e.g. working like an active assist in someone who has had a stroke).Dynamic Tape comes in the following colours: Beige Tattoo & Black Tattoo
Dynamic Tape comes in the following sizes:
5cm x 5m & 7.5cm x 5m, 5cm x 31m
